Brisbane Roar have announced that children 15 years and younger will be given free entry to the October 16th clash against the Newcastle Jets. Tickets will be available at the gate or via the Ticketek hotline (132 849), but not online.

It follows new Jet's owner Nathan Tinkler's similar promotion recently in Newcastle, in which children were also permitted free entry.


“We encourage all the sports fans of Brisbane to get down to Suncorp Stadium on October 16, bring the kids and get behind the team that represents you in the Hyundai A-League” stated Brisbane CEO Peter McLennan.

In other ticketing news, the Melbourne Heart derby will likely sell-out today, with just 500 tickets left on sale.
