Sources deep within the FFA World Cup bid camp reveal a giant human pyramid was formed to boost Australia's chances of winning the FIFA 2022 World Cup.

The pyramid, featuring a base of Ben Buckley and three associates with Frank Lowy balancing precariously at the summit, is said to be the last ditch effort before the winner is announced. It was held at a recent 'secret' meeting between the Australian bid and FIFA delegates, and can be revealed as being "highly successful".

Members of the lower end of the human pyramid got on their hands and knees in what is typically known as a grovelling position, whilst Lowy held his hands out, clasped toward the delegates.

When the FIFA delegates stated they were unimpressed, highlighting questions over profitability, time zones, and transport, Australia's Lowy signaled for the lights to be dimmed. A spotlight appeared, lighting up Frank Lowy in all his glory. He began to sing.

We at The Football Sack could establish no more from our source, and the effect of whatever emotive song Lowy sang will only become known in the next 48 hours.

Perhaps all will not be lost if the bid is not won. The human pyramid spectacle is planning a nationwide tour should Australia lose the right to host the FIFA 2022 World Cup. Which would you rather see?
