Wolves FC vs Eastern Suburbs

Wolves FC have continued to show why they are outright leaders of the Brisbane Premier League, coming back from an early one goal deficit to record a 3-1 against Eastern Suburbs on Saturday to notch their 13th consecutive win.
Goals from Patrick Hopkins, Trent Clulow and Alex Janovsky proved too much for a desperate Easts side that went one nil up after six minutes courtesy of Xavier Lopez.
Wolves extend their lead over second placed Rochedale to nine competition points and look almost untouchable, even with more than half the season to go.
Capalaba vs Pine Hills

The goal scoring form of Jordan Farina was not enough for Pine Hills who fell to another demoralising 3-1 defeat, this time at the hands of a free scoring Capalaba side.
Hills continued their recent trend of opening the scoring when Farina hit the back of the net in the fourth minute to notch his fourth goal in five games.
However a second half double to Anthony Schiavo and a goal from Trent Vohland in the 60th minute proved too much for a Pine Hills side that has struggled all season.
Redlands United vs Olympic FC

Olympic FC put their mid season struggles behind them to mount a three goal second half comeback against a shell shocked Redlands side to earn themselves a well deserved 3-2 win.
A Rhys Meredith double took Redlands to a two goal lead inside the first 30 minutes and left Olympic staring down their third consecutive defeat that has seen them fall from second position on the ladder.
Olympic FC went into the second half looking to attack and attack they did; goals to Michael Butters, Evan Papadopoulos and Aleks Panic saw the away side steal the three competition points in a match that was truly ‘a tale of two halves’.
Souths United vs Peninsular Power
3-1
Peninsular Power’s four game win streak came to an abrupt end as Souths United turned in an inspired performance to claim a 3-1 Victory at home.
Three goals in the opening ten minutes courtesy of Kenta Dohi, Michael Andrews and B.J. Vitale saw the home side in a commanding position early.
While Peninsular managed to find the back of the net through Josh Taylor, a staunch, defensive United did enough to ensure the home side got the win.
North Pine vs Taringa Rovers
0-1
A 30th minute goal to John Paul Sludden was all Taringa Rovers needed to secure a hard fought 1-0 victory against North Pine in terrible conditions.
With the rain pouring down for the entirety of the match neither side could find their rhythm in a game that never really got out of first gear.
Although not winning the match, it was a much improved defensive effort from North Pine who bounced back after last week conceding three own goals.
Brisbane City vs Rochedale Rovers

A controversial afternoon at Spencer Park saw Rochedale Rovers secure a big 5-1 victory over Brisbane City in a match that featured three red cards and the ejection of City coach Bobby Hamilton.
Although dominating large portions of the first half, Bo Hyung Chun’s stunning free kick from 30 metres out was not enough for a lead at the break for Brisbane City as Rochedale hit the net twice through Rueben Way just before halftime.
Referee David Wiebe took centre stage for most of the second half, sending off three Brisbane City players for dissent and threatening to abandon the match when City coach Hamilton refused to leave the technical area after being ejected by the match official.
While Rochedale managed to score three more goals in the second half through Tim Smits, Greg Cheshire and a Luke Farrinazzo own goal, they will need to improve their efficiency in front of goal if they still have aspirations of catching Wolves FC.
University of Queensland vs Mt Gravatt
2-0
University of Queensland consolidated their fifth position on the ladder with a gutsy 2-0 victory against Mt Gravatt on Sunday.
Mt Gravatt never threatened Uni and goals to Ben Rosengren and David Loic were all the home side needed to secure the win.
The win is UQ’s fourth in a row and sees them jump to fourth on the table.
