The German spoke exclusively to The Football Sack last night following his side's 2-0 win over Central Coast Mariners and admitted he will be departing the reigning champions, effective immediately.
Broich joined Brisbane Roar at the start of the 2010-11 season, helping his side win the Premiership and Championship in his very first year.
But Brisbane were not able to recreate their form from last season and only finished second this year with Central Coast Mariners taking out the Premiers Plate.
The two sides battled it out at Suncorp Stadium last night in the first-leg of the major semi-final with Brisbane coming out 2-0 victors.
"I have spoken to the coaching staff at the club and have made them aware that I will not be continuing playing in Australia beyond tonight" Broich revealed.
"There are some personal reasons involved that I would not like to discuss further at this point in time.
"I wanted to give the Roar faithful something to remember me by, so tonight's performance reflects that".
The star playmaker, who also stars in a film documenting his football career, will not be available for the second leg of the major semi-final. It's a massive blow to the Roar's season this year and beyond.

Brisbane Roar manager Ange Postecoglou refused to field questions on Broich's future following the game last night but it's understood he is furious with the German.
The club will find it tough to find a replacement for Broich who, arguably, is the greatest import ever to grace the pitch in the A-League. It is believed offers from Korea, Japan, Indonesia and Germany have already been tabled however Broich hinted a return home could be the most likely option.
