A-League Fans Friday Follow

Friday, September 14, 2012

Twitter. We're on it, you're on it, it seems the whole of the A-League fan base is connected by a few short clicks and 140 characters. So lets celebrate some of the more engaging, dedicated characters of the football Twittersphere with some good ol' fashioned #FFs.

Here are some of the accounts The Football Sack follow closely:

1. @carlymelissa_x - Once offered The Sack a nudie run should Gold Coast United get more than 5k to their final home game. Wishful thinking, we know.
Tweets about: Central Coast Mariners and boys.

2. @efcso - A favorite of our resident Wanderers guru Tom Moxey, Eric here recently traveled 1600km to watch Western Sydney play Heart in Lismore. They lost.
Tweets about: Western Sydney Wanderers.

3. @PeterWilt1 - His bio simply says "I launch pro soccer teams and write" but this American knows football administration.
Tweets about: Comparisons between MLS and the A-League.

4. @Patrick478 - As far as we know Patrick is the only Phoenix fan on Twitter. You should therefore follow him to get some perspective from across the ditch.
Tweets about: Wellington Phoenix and how good The Football Sack podcast is.

5. @A_Frenchy91 - Andrew took it upon himself this season to give the NSW Premier League some much needed Twitter coverage (#NSWPL). It's people like this dedicated Sydney FC fan we love to have in our feed, biggin' up Australian football to the world.
Tweets about: Sydney FC, Sydney Kings and the NSW Premier League.

We'll be #FF'ing our favorite football tweeters throughout the Hyundai A-League season. Know someone we should be following? Perhaps someone that doesn't have as many followers as they deserve? Let us know.
