Brisbane slump as Heart pump

Friday, November 09, 2012

Melbourne Heart have consigned Brisbane Roar to the bottom of the A-League table for the first time in history after destroying the defending champions 4-1 at AAMI Park.

On a cold wet Melbourne night the Heart dominated the second half with Josip Tadic starring.

Brisbane could count themselves unlucky to go into the sheds at half time 1-0 down after a Henrique disallowed goal looked to have been ruled out incorrectly.

Brisbane now find themselves propping up the table, a position unimaginable at the start of the season. Questions will be raised on how exactly Rado Vidosic is taking over this once unbeatable machine.

But we shouldn't take anything away from the sensational second half of the Heart who were led by Tadic in a man of the match display.

Goals to Garcia, Tadic and Williams in a ten minute burst broke the back of the Roar after Gerhardt had Heart one up at the break.
