With a 1-0 lead at half time many were predicting that Melbourne Heart would go on to lose the match.

But a good finish by in-form Richard Garcia added a second goal for the home side effectively secured the points against second placed Adelaide United.

David Williams welcomed members of the Victorian Indigenous community who travelled from across the state to attend Melbourne Heart's Indigenous Recognition match.

Wearing special boots, Williams put in a decent effort on the pitch. Perhaps he was given the Jimmy Grimble treatment and told by Aloisi that the boots were magic.

Josip Tadic was the man to put the Heart in the lead, latching on to a fifth minute cross from Fred after an effective short corner set piece..

It wasn't all happy healthy Harold for Heart however as captain Fred pulled up with a suspected torn quadriceps muscle early in the second half.

2-0 the final score, Heart reversing last week's misfortunes immediately and moving to fifth on the A-League ladder.
