But if you turned on a TV or read any of the major websites on the weekend, the Sydney derby was played and bad luck if you supported anyone else.
This game was everything from "the biggest domestic game in the history of the game here in Australia" to "a derby that looks certain to become the biggest in the A-League". Fap fap fap.
Next week they will be playing for:
The Tomi Juric Magnum Ego
The Scott Jamieson Garden Gnome
The Troy Hearfield Hairpiece
The Mass Murdocca Massive Medal
The Carlos Hernandez Nandos Pack
Our big observation:
We love the new Stat Zone app from our mates at FourFourTwo, but poor Matt Davies will carry around the nickname "Mr Unknown" for a little while.
These snuck under the Crossbar (likes)
• James Troisi and Mitch Nichols. Right under Ange's nose, will they be on the plane to Brazil?
• Shinji Ono. Oh so good
• William Gallas signing at Glory. This league is just winning at the moment. Makes the loss of Ljubo a little easier to handle
• Are we correct in saying there were no yellow cards in the Glory vs Heart game? Not even one for J Burns?
• The Sydney derby. Yeah, it was good!
What went over the crossbar (dislikes)
• Only 21,000 at Etihad on Friday night. Ange deserved better,
• The Football Sack (well me really) not asking the fans for their likes and dislikes this week. Hence the likes and dislikes fillers we've got.
• Sydney FC defence. I know we ran with this last week, but it lead to this Hilarious piece of work
• Besart Berisha not playing, Don't Brisbane need him
Ref Watch: Round Three
Okay, so 99% of your dislikes last year were referee related even when we said NO REFS, so we are going to add 'Ref Watch' this year and try to be completely balanced in our appraisal.
Grade: A. Credit where credit is due, the refs were ok this weekend.

Last week's predictions
• The Socceroos coaching announcement is made on Thursday leaving Melbourne Victory and Brisbane Roar two full days to promote the "Thanks Ange" night at Etihad Stadium in front of over 35,000 fans - The crowd was really, really dissapointing for this one but the rest of it we'll take. Is the free-to-air costing us at the gate?
• Wanderers beat Sydney FC comfortably fueling calls for ADP to take a player/manager position - Again, we'll claim this one. Frank Farina is as popular as a crying child on an aeroplane at the moment.
Next week's predictions
• The Wanderers take the stage for Friday night football, Pirtek Stadium full to the brim, Fox Sports goes into meltdown.
• Carlos Hernandez gets the greatest reception for an opposition player in the history of the game.
• The F3 derby ends up a 10 v 9 contest after three red cards are shown.
• Kevin Muscat keeps his 100% winning coaching record alive prompting a betting agency to run a market on when he will lose for the first time and offer some money back if he gets sent to the stands in the process.

As has been the case for much of his career, Mebrahtu is still two moments away from his match quota set by his parents #PERvMHT
