How to vote - 2014 FFDU Fan Awards

Monday, March 10, 2014

We would like to thank all our fans, readers and supporters for nominating us in this season’s FFDA Fan Awards which opened its voting today.

The Football Sack has the chance to take out Best use of Social Media for an unprecedented third consecutive season as well as being nominated for Football Website of the Year.

Talented writers Josh Bennett and Neil Sherwin are also nominated as our representatives in their respective categories.

Josh Bennett has had a meteoric rise in the world of writing and thoroughly deserves his nomination. Following graduation from University of Newcastle, Josh joined The Football Sack for his first taste in journalism and before long started writing for Newcastle Jets and Western Sydney Wanderers.

With his talent noticed, in only six months since starting in the industry Josh has become a paid writer for FourFourTwo Magazine and Perform (Sportal) while continuing to write for The Sack.

Neil Sherwin was one of the original writers at The Football Sack and is one of the most talented freelance journalists in the country.

As well as his Sack duties, Neil is Editor of Irish website Back Page Football and, like Josh, writes for Perform (Sportal). Neil has previously written for Perth Glory.

To top it off, former The Football Sack bloggers Steph Catley, Jodie Taylor and Clare Polkinghorne have all been nominated for Female Footballer of the Year.
