W-LEAGUE: Who will play finals football?

The Westfield W-League is in it's final stages but the final four is still undecided. While Canberra United have all but secured the premiership, the three remaining places in the top four are up for grabs. Can your team make finals? Possibilities if Melbourne Victory beat Adelaide (will finish with a total of 17 points):

Where's Wally? Possibly watching Victory play finals football

If Brisbane beat or draw with Newcastle, Brisbane will make finals with between 18 and 21 points as well as Sydney (17-20) and Melbourne Victory (17), while Newcastle will drop out (maximum 16).

If Newcastle beat Brisbane followed by Brisbane losing or drawing to Sydney in the final week, Brisbane will miss out on finals with a maximum total of 16 points, while Newcastle (18), Sydney (17-20) and Melbourne Victory (17) will make it.

If Newcastle beat Brisbane followed by Brisbane beating Sydney, then Melbourne Victory (17) will miss out on finals due to goal difference while Brisbane (18), Newcastle (maximum 18) and Sydney (maximum 17) will make the finals. This can change though if Perth upsets either Sydney or Newcastle with a win/draw, allowing Melbourne Victory (17) to still make finals.


Possibilities if Melbourne Victory loses to Adelaide (will finish with a total of 14 points):

If Newcastle lose or draw both of their remaining matches then Melbourne Victory (14) will make finals with Sydney (15+) and Brisbane (16+). Newcastle (maximum 14) will be knocked out on goal difference.
If Newcastle (15+) wins either one of their remaining matches then they will overtake Melbourne Victory (14) to claim the last finals position.


Possibilities if Melbourne Victory draws with Adelaide (will finish with a total of 15 points):

The same possibilities as a loss to Adelaide, along with the following scenarios;

If Brisbane (15) loses both of their remaining matches, then they will be knocked out of a finals position on goal difference to Melbourne Victory (15). Sydney (17+) and Newcastle (15+) will also make it, unless Newcastle lose to Perth in which case it will come down to goal difference between themselves and Brisbane to see who gets the final spot.

If Sydney (14) loses both of their remaining matches then Melbourne Victory (15), Newcastle (15+) and Brisbane (18+) will make the finals.
