Kit sizes now come in either Newborn or Toddler |
Gold Coast went close to earning all three points against the Jets on Friday only to be denied by a last-minute goal from Nikolai Topor-Stanley.
The game may have ended at 1-1 but the youngsters from the Sunshine Coast continue to impress with Daniel Bowles getting on the scoresheet for his first ever Hyundai A-League goal.
With the youth at Gold Coast making such a big impression Clive may have to order a new batch of kits for his side or else there will be plenty of dirty nappies to change…

‘Hat’s crazy Graham |
After falling to Perth on the weekend Graham Arnold and Alex Wilkinson were scathing in an attack on having to play in such high temperatures.

The Mariners have lost their spark |
Things are heating up in the race for the A-League minor premiership and the comfort that Graham Arnold once felt on top of the pile has evaporated before his very eyes with just two points separating the Mariners and the Roar.
It seems an age ago that the Mariners held an 11 point lead over their nearest rival but with just two games remaining the boys from Gosford have lost their aura of invincibility. Central Coast went down 1-0 on Sunday at nib Stadium to Perth with Coach Arnold fuming at having to play in the 36 degree heat.
It seems as though Arnie is feeling the heat of late.
Jim wets his whistle
It was another week to forget for Victory’s Jim Magilton. A penalty to Karol Kisel handed Sydney a 1-0 win which ended the Blues’ Finals hopes and handed Jim a coaching record worse than the man he replaced.
While Mehmet Durakovic got the boot for failing to turn Melbourne’s fortunes around it appears Mr Magilton will be sticking around after being backed by the Victory board.
This week’s comic examines Jim’s tactics heading into the key clash with the Sky Blues.
