Oh how the mighty have fallen! In the space of 24 hours the two Melbourne teams sent the two previous champions into free fall. Brisbane were a shadow of their former self on Friday night when the previously out of form Heart destroyed the defending champs.
Melbourne Victory destroyed Sydney's soul on Saturday night when 3 goals in 12 minutes was the boulder that broke the camel's back. Ian Crook resigned not long after, leaving the club in short term disarray (nice day to start a new job David Gallop - welcome aboard).
Meanwhile the Mariners, Reds, Jets and Perth continue to click over the points column and look likely at this stage to continue to streak away from the field.
