Wanderers do it like they do on the discovery channel

Saturday, March 30, 2013

Western Sydney Wanderers have clinched the Premier's Plate in the final game of the regular season but it was ultimately an easy task against a weak Newcastle Jets.

Wanderers bent the Hunter side over and went to town - as they have done the whole of the A-league - defeating Jets 3-0 to win the league and claim themselves king of the football jungle.

What is it that makes Western Sydney so special? Are they that much better than last year's Champions Brisbane Roar who only managed to scrape into the 2012/13 Finals Series? Perhaps. Best ask Kate Cohen.

What is of more significance is that they've done it in their first year as a club. With only four months preparation. And a deal of that without a coach. It's a minor miracle. It's a Minor Premier miracle.

Congratulations to Western Sydney Wanderers from the whole The Football Sack team. Bask in the fleeting glory of winning the Premiership but know that in a a few weeks you will understand how Central Coast Mariners feel to have the Championship pulled from your grasp by Brisbane Roar.
